It's advisable to book early to secure a spot for your newborn session, as I offer a limited number of sessions to ensure flexibility once your baby arrives. I recommend scheduling during your second trimester, though it's worth reaching out anytime up to two weeks before or after your due date to check availability.
I offer a variety of packages at different price points to suit all needs and budgets. A $150 retainer is required for a newborn session, and a $300 retainer is required for a bundled package (First-Year Collection) then choose your package. To secure your session, a signed online contract and retainer, along with a completed booking form, are required to reserve your due date. This retainer is separate from the package price, with the balance due two days before your session.
Once your retainer is paid, your due date will be added to my calendar. About a month before your due date, I will provide you with a client guide containing detailed information about your session.
Please notify me on the day your baby arrives. Newborns can arrive unpredictably, and despite only scheduling a limited number of sessions each month, there are occasions when multiple babies arrive around the same time. I understand this is a hectic time, so if you're unable to reach out yourself, please have a family member contact me. They'll likely be excited to share the news. Once I hear from you, I'll schedule a firm appointment date. Newborn sessions are best held within the first two weeks after birth, ideally on days seven, eight, or nine. Exceptions can be made for babies who need a NICU stay, so please reach out to discuss any special circumstances.
During the contract signing, you will receive a pre-session questionnaire to gather information about your color preferences and other details. If any changes are needed after your baby arrives, please reach out via email. If you'd prefer to discuss adjustments over the phone, just let me know. The session will be styled by me, and while I strive to capture a diverse range of beautiful images, specific poses or setups cannot be guaranteed.
Sessions are held in my home studio in Lakeville, New Brunswick 7 min away from Costco, The studio is kept at 68-72 F (20- 22.2 C) to keep your baby warm and comfortable. Newborns can lose their body temperature quickly, especially when unclothed, so we need to be sure they are kept warm at all times. You may want to dress in layers so that you are comfortable too. Feel free to sit back & relax! Coffee and Muffin is available during your NEWBORN session
Newborn sessions begin at either 10:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m., depending on your baby’s age, and typically last between 2 to 4 hours. Please plan accordingly, and feel free to bring lunch or snacks. Enjoy this time to relax or even nap—I won’t mind! Occasionally, I may need parents to assist as spotters for certain poses to ensure the baby’s safety, which is always my top priority.
Please bring a pacifier (I recommend the Avent Soothie brand), wipes, diapers, spare bottles, and pumped breast milk or formula. It’s normal for babies to feed more during the session. While nude photographs beautifully capture the essence of your newborn, nudity is optional, and we can adjust based on your preferences.
The ideal time for maternity photos is between 29 and 34 weeks to ensure comfortable posing and to beautifully capture your baby bump. I recommend booking your session once you reach your second trimester to ensure availability. I offer a selection of gowns for you to wear, and if you prefer a more revealing look, I also have nude options available.
I have two maternity packages available: one for just mom and another that includes your husband or family. Depending on the package you choose, there will be 1-3 set-ups, with one set-up based on the photographer's creative direction.
Feel free to email any inspirational images, but please keep in mind that the final result may vary due to factors like lighting, posing, and clothing choices. My focus is on capturing natural moments that highlight the beauty of your experience, rather than staged or overly posed looks.
Please take a look at my portfolio to familiarize yourself with my style. Final editing and styling are at the photographer’s discretion.
A newborn session booking is required to book maternity .
If you'd like to try on one of my gowns, fittings are available two weeks before your session. Alternatively, you're welcome to bring your own gown, but please inform me in advance so I can plan the appropriate background for your photos.
